Pak Rail Live is free application for general public of Pakistan which provides Real Time trains tracking of Pakistan Railways. Moreover, it provides schedule updates, estimated arrival of next stations and pre-arrival notifications feature.
It was inaugurated by Honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr. Imran Khan on 12th February 2019 under his vision of “Naya Pakistan”.
During Inauguration ceremony he remarked,
“Train is used very commonly by the people of Pakistan. It is more convenient. We want to take our train system to the next level.”
Pak Rail Live allows people with an opportunity to track trains in real time. People can get notifications about estimated arrival time and pre-arrival of any train. Also, people can check about any delay or update/news about their trains.
In developing country like Pakistan, Railway system is pretty old and hardly get any focus from government to improvise it. Long train delays are very often which create problems for the travelling passengers.
Second Wave Apps designed and developed live tracking mobile application for Pakistan Railways to track the trains in real time. So people can check live locations of their respective trains and schedule accordingly. Also, users can set pre-arrival notification on their mobile phones.
As of Feb 2021, Pak Rail Live has more than 2 million downloads in just two years on Google Play Store and Apple App Store with 4.6 ratings from 13,000+ reviews.
This initiative was covered by main stream national media of Pakistan. It was also supported and appreciated by tech magazines, bloggers, influencers.

Users can check all trains of one way (Up or DOWN) in just one view.
Pakistan Railway Management can also notify app users and passengers through Pak Rail Live App about any important announcement or update.
